Ingredients to make Chicken Alfredo Mac and Cheese

  • 16 oz elbow noodles
  • 15 oz jar alfredo pasta
  • 1-2 cups of pulled chicken
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup cheese
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

How do you make the Chicken Alfredo Macaroni & Cheese?

Add the pasta to a microwave-safe bowl that is deep enough to submerge the pasta completely in water, and it won’t bubble over.

Pour enough water to completely submerge the pasta. Add about 3-5 minutes cooking time over the pasta package when using the microwave. If you’re unsure how to cook pasta in the microwave, here are more detailed instructions.

Once the pasta is done, drain it, and add the cheese and 1 tablespoon of heavy cream and mix it up.

If using frozen pulled chicken, like Tyson grilled pulled chicken, follow the directions on the package to heat it in the microwave.

When it’s ready, add about a tablespoon of minced garlic and heat an additional 30 seconds.

But, if you prefer using fresh chicken breasts, follow this chicken breast recipe and then shred the chicken to add to the mac in cheese.

Once the chicken is hot and shredded, add it to the macaroni.

Next, add the jar of alfredo sauce.

Mix everything up together.

Pop it back in the microwave and cook for an additional minute in the microwave.

Give it another stir before serving immediately.
