How to make Microwave Cornbread Dressing

Awhile ago, I shared how to make cornbread dressing in a mug for a single serving. This new recipe will make Microwave Cornbread Dressing for the whole family.

This is a delicious side dish for the holiday meal.

Ingredients to make Cornbread Dressing

How to make Cornbread Dressing in the Microwave

Make the Microwave Cornbread and let it cool for about 30 minutes.

Cut or break the white bread apart into small pieces and put it in a large bowl.

Crumble the cornbread over the bread in the bowl.

Add the sage, onion, and celery salt.

Melt the butter in the microwave.

Add the chicken broth to the bread mixture.

Add the butter to the bread mixture.

Stir it up until everything is well mixed.

The mixture will be somewhat soupy.

Spray a microwave-safe 2 quart casserole dish with non-stick oil spray.

Transfer the bread mixture to the casserole dish.

Cook on HIGH for 6 minutes.

Stir the mixture and cook for an additional 3 minutes.

Fluff before serving.

Serve immediately with your holiday meal.

  • 1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix - made in microwave
  • 8 slices white sandwich bread
  • 4 tbs butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1 tablespoon sage

Instructions

  1. Make the Microwave Cornbread and let it cool for about 30 minutes.
