How to make Microwave Salisbury Steak

by Stephanie

Microwave Salisbury Steak is about as easy to make as burgers in the microwave. With about 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef, this recipe will make around 6 Salisbury steaks, which for a typical family is great for leftovers or meal prep and tomorrow’s lunch!

What ingredients do you need to make Salisbury Steak in the microwave?

If you have ingredients to make meatballs or meatloaf, then you probably have the ingredients to make salisbury steak.

I forgot to take a picture of the sauce I like to use, which is Lipton’s Onion Mushroom soup along with some cornstarch to thicken it up as well as the 16 oz container of sliced mushrooms that is pictured.

How do you store leftover Salisbury Steaks?

I keep it in a sealed plastic container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Can you make this ahead of time?

Yes, it heats up well, but it’s at its best when it’s freshly made.

Can you leave out the mushrooms?

Sure you can. I have definitely used the soup mix without the mushrooms. You can also switch out fresh mushrooms for canned mushrooms, too.

Can you use something else besides Mushroom Onion Soup mix?

Definitely. Lipton’s soup mix has a Beefy Onion Soup mix and an Onion Soup mix, both which I have used to make this, and both work well with it.
