In a 2-quart microwave-safe dish, add 4 cups of water and 8 oz spaghetti. I like to use the pot-size spaghetti that is cut in half.

Microwave the spaghetti for 8-9 minutes on HIGH. Use potholders to remove the dish and stir up the spaghetti.

Cook on HIGH a second time for 4-5 minutes. Allow the dish to sit in the microwave an additional 2-3 minutes.

Drain the spaghetti and set aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl or dish, break up the raw ground beef into small pieces. Cook on HIGH for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.

Drain the meat.

Break the meat up again and add the minced garlic and Parmesan, gently stirring it up into the meat.

Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the meat has reached a temperature of 165 F degrees. Drain the meat a second time.

Add the meat to the spaghetti and pour over the sauce.

Mix it up gently until the spaghetti and meat are well coated.

Serve immediately.

Finished Microwave Spaghetti and Meat Sauce

Can you make this ahead of time?

Yes! I actually make this ahead of time a lot. I pop it in the fridge for my kids to easily heat some spaghetti and meat sauce up for a meal or snack.

To reheat, just place a portion in a microwave-safe bowl or plate and heat for about 45-60 seconds.

How do you store leftovers?

Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to five days.
