In just minutes, you can have perfectly melted cheese wrapped in a warm, toasty tortilla—all without turning on the stove. Whether you need a midday snack, a late-night craving fix, or a kid-friendly meal idea, this simple recipe will hit the spot.

Ingredients for making a Cheese Quesadilla

- Two flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup cheese – queso fresco, cheddar, colby, monterry jack, colby jack, etc,.
- Optional: Leftover chicken or steak.
How do you make a Cheese Quesadilla?
Lay one tortilla on a microwave-safe plate, sprinkle the cheese all over the tortillas.

You can keep this as a plain cheese quesadilla, or you can take it to the next level with some leftovers. If you have some leftover chicken or steak, cut it up into bite size pieces and lay it on the cheese. Add a little more cheese over the tops of the meat pieces.
Lay the second tortilla over the top.

Heat for 30-45 seconds, or until the cheese is completely melted.
Remove from microwave. Careful the plate will be hot.
Slice with a pizza cutter or knife.
Add some guacamole, sour cream, and salsa for dipping, and you’ve got yourself a delicious meal!
