How to make Brown Sugar Syrup in the Microwave

by Stephanie

My daughter is obsessed with boba and milk tea right now. And she thought we would have to buy Brown Sugar Syrup. I have made simple syrups for years, and I knew making Brown Sugar Syrup in the Microwave was going to be easy peasy. You can make it, easily, too.

How do you make Brown Sugar Syrup in the Microwave?

This is simple. You’ll need a microwave-safe bowl. I used a medium-sized one.

Combine 1/2 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of water.

Give it a good stir.

Then pop it in the microwave and cook it on HIGH for 2 minutes.

When it’s done, pull it out and stir it until the sugar is completely melted into the water.

Let it cool for a few minutes.

Then, transfer it to a mason jar or any jar with a lid.

I sealed the lid and let it sit on the counter until it wasn’t too hot to touch.

Then, I put it in the fridge.

Keep it in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

It’s perfect to add to milk tea. You just need a drizzle, so this will last for several drinks.

You might be wondering where I’ve been. I don’t post here as much as I did in years past. It’s because I’ve become a fantasy romance writer. I go to book fairs and book cons and sell my books everywhere. I’ve done a few booksignings at stores.

My latest series is a dark romantasy about Lucifer. What if he didn’t fall for pride or ambition? What if he fell for love? Book 2 is just about to come out. You can check it out on my author website and download a sample of chapters or you can order on Amazon.
