  • 1 pkg OREO cookies
  • 1 pkg Candy Corn Pumpkins
  • 1 bag of chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup green candy melts

How do you make these Pumpkin Patch OREO cookies?

Cover a cookie sheet with wax paper or parchment paper and set aside.

Yellow bowl with crushed OREO cookies

Next, take 6 OREO cookies and use a blender or food processor and crush them to crumbs. Set aside the crumbs in a bowl near the cookie sheet.

Set the candy corn pumpkins in a bowl near the cookie sheet and OREO cookie crumbs.

Glass bowl with chocolate chips

Microwave the chocolate in 30-second increments. Stir after each time, and then microwave again for another 30 seconds.

Keep doing this until the chocolate is completely smooth and runs thick like honey, but not gloppy. Check this post on microwaving chocolate for tips.

For an entire bag of chocolate chips, it takes me about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes of cooking every 30 seconds to get it melted and smooth.

Glass bowl with melted chocolate and an OREO on top of the chocolate.

Dip each OREO cookie into the chocolate completely. Lift up with a fork and tap gently on the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.

After 3-4 cookies, add a pumpkin candy corn to the center of each OREO cookie and then sprinkle with crumbs.

Continue doing this until you’ve dipped all the OREO cookies.

Place the cookie sheet into the freeze for about 10-15 minutes to harden the chocolate.

Remove from the freezer.

Melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments and stirring after each time, just like the chocolate. This should take just a couple of times in the microwave to completely melt.

Transfer the candy melt to a ziplock bag. Snip off the tiniest corner.

Pipe swirls of green around each candy corn pumpkin to look like vines in a pumpkin patch.

After all the OREO cookies have vines, place the cookie sheet back in the freezer for another 10 minutes to harden the green candy melt.
