How do you make Homemade Croutons in a Microwave?
This is incredibly easy and fast to do. You’ll be amazed you never tried it before!

Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
Cut the bread into small cubes.
When the butter is melted, add all the spices and stir it up.
Toss the bread cubes into the mixture until they are well coated.
Spread the bread cubes on a plate or some parchment paper.

Cook for 1 1/2 to 3 minutes in the microwave.
I just got a new microwave, and it’s 1000-watts. I experimented with 3 minutes, and it burned my croutons. I found the sweet spot was about 2 minutes for me. But, start checking your croutons around the 1 1/2 minute mark.
When they first come out they will be very hot and a little squishy, but if you let them sit for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes when they’re done, they will firm up and turn into the crunchy croutons you know and love.
Put them in a salad or your favorite soup. Or… eat them as as a snack by themselves.
If you have leftovers, keep them in a sealed container like a ziplock bag in the pantry or on the counter for a few days.
That’s all there is to it! Can you believe it’s this easy?
