How do you make Microwave Chocolate Cream Pie?
I call this Microwave Chocolate Cream Pie, but the only thing we are actually cooking in the microwave is the crust. Otherwise, everything else just requires chilling.
First, you’ll need to crush about 25-28 OREO cookies in blender, food processor, or in a ziplock bag with a rolling pin rolling over them.
Don’t remove the filling when you crush the OREOs. Just crush the OREOS with the filling, too. It helps create the crust.
This same method works with Golden OREOs for other types of pies, too.
Melt the butter in the microwave in 30-second increments.
Pour the melted butter over the OREO crumbs and mix it up.
Mix up the butter and OREO crumbs until the butter has wetted all the crumbs.
Use an 8-9 inch pie plate that is microwave safe such as a glass pie plate or porcelain.
Dump the OREO crumbs into the center of the pie plate and then use the back of a wooden spoon or the bottom of a measuring cup to press the OREO crumbs into the pie plate. Work from the middle outward to the top.
Microwave the crust on HIGH for 1 minute and then immediately place it in the fridge to cool down completely.
While the pie crust is cooling down, follow the directions on the chocolate pudding and make it. Then, pop it in the fridge to set.
When the chocolate pudding is ready and the pie crust feels cold, transfer the chocolate pudding into the pie crust and smooth it out.
Whip together 2 cups of whipping cream and about 2 teaspoons of white sugar. A mixer will do this quickly, but you can also use a whisk and do this by hand until it forms soft peaks.
Spoon the fresh whipped cream over the chocolate pudding.
Top the pie off with mini chocolate chips.
Chill it for 30 minutes to an hour before slicing the pie.
Enjoy!
