What do you need to cook frozen corn on the cob?
You’ll need a microwave-safe baking dish with a lid as well as frozen corn on the cob and some water.
How do you make frozen corn on the cob in the microwave?
I find this method works best when you use mini ears of corn. Usually I make 4-6 mini ears of corn in the microwave at once for dinner, but you can do this with 2-3 mini ears of corn as well.
First, you want to use frozen corn that hasn’t defrosted.
Place your corn in a microwave-safe dish that also has a microwave-safe lid, such as a glass lid.
Add enough water to the bottom of the dish to be about 1/2 inch deep.

Cover the dish and pop it in the microwave. If you are cooking 4-6 ears, cook on high for 14-15 minutes. If you’re cooking 2-3 ears, cook on high for 10-12 minutes.
When it’s done, the sides of the corn should be hot and not feel cold.
Remove the corn from the baking dish onto a plate and smear with butter and add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve immediately.
