Make a Chocolate Mug Cake that's egg free for two

Who doesn’t love a little bit of moist chocolate cake? I know I do, but I certainly don’t want to make a whole cake.  And, I love anything I can whip up in the microwave.

Egg Free Chocolate Mug Cake for Two

This would be perfect to finish off a nice little Valentine’s Day dinner with your love.  And, I’ve found with a mug cake, I don’t even need frosting or whipped cream.  I just drizzle a little whipping cream I keep in the fridge for my coffee, and it’s the perfect topping.

Egg Free Chocolate Mug Cake for Two

What I love about mug cakes is that you can pretty much just dump the ingredients together and stir until it looks like cake batter. Then, it’s straight to the microwave for a scrumptious treat.

Mix up the mug cake ahead of time.

I recommend you start with 1 1/2 minutes as a cook time. If it looks like it’s not quite done, just pop it back in the microwave for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Mug Cake Batter

This recipe is just a plain straightforward no egg chocolate mug cake.  But….if you wanna get fancy, here are some tips to make it absolutely AMAZING! Before popping your mugs into the microwave, gently add a spoonful of one of these right on top of the cake batter to make it even better:

  • Nutella
  • Cookie Butter
  • Dulce de Leche
  • Peanut Butter
  • Marshmallow Creme
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Crushed Cookies – chocolate chip, OREOs, etc.
